All O.E.D Butterfly Valves are rated at 200 psi working pressure. These durable valves are suited for throttling or positive shut-off applications. A variety of different materials of construction are available for fluid compatibility. A trigger handle grip constructed of rugged ductile iron is standard on all valves 2" through 12". The ten position throttle lever maintains precise disc orientation for consistent flow control. Gear operators are standard on all butterfly valves 14" through 24". All butterfly valves are also available with pneumatic or electric actuators.
An accurately machined one piece body made of A536 ductile iron is standard on most O.E.D butterfly valves. Other available body materials include Cast Iron, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel.
Patented controlled torque seats consist of an elastomer bonded to a rigid phenolic backing providing maximum sealing integrity and longevity. This unique seat construction also provides positive flange face sealing for the valve, assuring only the seat elastomer, disc and pin come in contact with line fluids. Buna-N is the standard seat material and is suitable for most hydrocarbons, ideal for oil service and gas service. Optional EPDM, Viton?, Teflon and Hypalon seated butterfly valves are also available. EPDM seats are suitable for most water based fluid applications. Viton seats are suitable for most acids, oils and hydrocarbons. Teflon seats are suitable for most solvents and other corrosive products.
Standard shaft material is 410 Stainless Steel.
Bushing made of self-lubricating bronze for 2"~12" and Teflon for 14"~24" give shaft support where the actuator mounts.
Smooth finished discs reduce operating torque and improve seat life. Wide sealing areas at the shaft hubs provide positive shut-off and minimize seat wear. A variety of disc materials are offered for various applications. Available disc materials include Ductile Iron Nickel Plated, Aluminum Bronze, Stainless Steel and Nylon Coated. |
